Is your manuscript accepted for publication between the time the limit is reached and 1 January 2026? OUP still offers the opportunity to publish open access, but the costs are no longer covered by the agreement of the Dutch universities and UMCs during that period. The maximum number of OUP open access articles for hybrid open access journals has been reached. The maximum amount of articles for full open access journals will be reached in the first week of November.
If you choose open access for payment, you will therefore receive the invoice yourself. It will be between 2,500 and 3,000 euros, the so-called Article Processing Charge (APC).
You can also choose to share the article open access free of charge after an embargo period of 6 months. The article will then initially be published by OUP behind the pay wall and after 6 months in agreement with the library in the Radboud Repository shared open access.
