Han van Krieken today informed the Supervisory Board that he will step down as rector magnificus of Radboud University with immediate effect. This follows the coverage in De Gelderlander of Saturday 23 September 2023 and the responses to it.
Mario van Vliet, chairman of the supervisory board: 'We appreciate Han van Krieken's courageous decision, partly in view of the university's upcoming centenary on 17 October, to resign early from his duties as rector. This after more than seven years of commitment and dedication to the development of the university, for which he has been of great significance. For this, we thank him.'
