As with all previous actions against education cuts, our core tasks—education, research, and patient care—must not be interrupted.
The following points are therefore important:
- For students, the regular attendance requirement applies on December 9 for exams, patient care, and compulsory classes.
- Making up missed material is the responsibility of the student.
- Staff members coordinate participation in the action with their supervisor. If the supervisor has no compelling arguments against it, staff may be granted special leave for this purpose, which must be registered in Mijn Tijd.
- Lecturers who attend the protest must ensure that all course material is still covered within the duration of the course.
- Scheduled exams will proceed as planned. Any staff member who cannot participate in the action because of this must find a solution in consultation with their supervisor.
- Staff and students are responsible for arranging their own transport to Amsterdam. Travel expenses will not be reimbursed.
For more information about the action, see Day of Action on December 9 against the dismantling of higher education.
This message is intended for staff and students of the Faculty of Medical Sciences.
