Netherlands Press Council publishes conclusion on Gelderlander articles about Han van Krieken

The Netherlands Press Council has upheld a complaint by Han van Krieken about two articles published by De Gelderlander. According to the council, Han Van Krieken, former rector magnificus of Radboud University, has made it plausible that there has been ‘untrue and biased reporting’. The conclusion can be read on the council's website (only available in Dutch).

Daniël Wigboldus, chairman of the Executive Board: 'The conclusion of the Netherlands Press Council is clear and emphasizes the great importance of carefulness and nuance in reporting.'

Mario van Vliet, chairman of the Supervisory Board: 'As the Supervisory Board, we agree with the conclusion of the Netherlands Press Council. We advise everyone who read the articles in question at the time to also read this conclusion of the council now.'
