The NeurotechEU project office and its organizational management have been housed within the Faculty of Science since 2022. This year also saw a change of program coordinator: Prof. dr. Paul Verschure succeeded Prof. dr. Tansu Celikel. The arrival of Prof. Paul Verschure led to the definition of eight dimensions in neurotechnology on which NeurotechEU will develop further.
From 5-16 September, the yearly Donders Cognition Brain and Technology (DCBT) (Barcelona Cognition Brain and Technology – BCBT during previous editions) summer school was organised in the framework of NeurotechEU. In 2022, we also started making content available to students in content management systems through the open-source platforms learnGala and INCF.
During the past year, Radboud University has worked as a lead party on the entry of two aspiring partners, the universities of Lille and Reykjavik, which were approved for phase 2 at the 4th Board of Rectors meeting in Elche, Spain. At the beginning of 2023, this application for phase 2 of NeurotechEU will be submitted to the European Commission; the NeurotechEU project office at Radboud University is taking the lead here.
