New student code of conduct: for a safe and pleasant university

From the new academic year, a code of conduct for students will apply at Radboud University. This code of conduct provides guidelines for desirable behaviour within the university community and contributes to a socially safe and inclusive study environment. Treating each other with respect, integrity and equality are key.

Why a code of conduct?

It is important that everyone feels safe, heard and welcome at the university. The Code of Conduct is intended to provide a positive and clear framework for how students treat each other and others. On and off campus, such as during study trips or at student association activities. Because what happens there can also have an impact on the working and learning environment and performance at the university.

Created together

Students and employees from various parts of the university collaborated on the creation of the code of conduct. This way, the text is in line with what is going on in the community and with the existing code of conduct for employees.

This code of conduct is part of the Prevent, Care, Cure project, with which Radboud University is actively working towards a more socially safe study and working environment.

What does this mean for you?

Whether you are just starting your studies or have been studying at Radboud University for some time: the code of conduct is there for everyone. Curious about what it says?
