Nijmegen team won international moot court competition

The Radboud Moot Court Team not only won the overall competition at this year’s All-European International Humanitarian and Refugee Law Moot Court Competition, but also secured several individual awards.

From 18-21 November, the 10th edition of the All-European International Humanitarian and Refugee Law Moot Court Competition took place at the University of Ljubljana (co-organized by the Red Cross and the UN Refugee Agency). Only the top 12 teams (selected during a preliminary phase by writing a memorandum) were allowed to participate in the oral part of the competition. The Nijmegen team (consisting of LLM students in International and European Law Flavy St-Pierre and Sandra Kapanadze, master exchange law student Iza Solecka, and their coach, PhD-researcher Diana Usmanova) won the overall competition (consisting of six rounds). Also Iza won the award for being the best oralist of the competition and Flavy being the best oralist in the finals.

The participation of the students was made possible by funding of the Alumni Fund (SRN).
