No trains to Heyendaal Station from 1 to 10 November

From Saturday 1 November to Monday morning 10 November (5 a.m.), there will be no trains running between Cuijk and Nijmegen due to work on the Maaslijn. Nijmegen Heyendaal station will therefore be temporarily inaccessible by train.

Replacement transport

Arriva operates buses between Cuijk, Mook-Molenhoek and Nijmegen. Please note that these buses take longer and do not always have sufficient space, especially during rush hour. Other buses and roads leading to the campus may also be busier than usual.

Therefore, plan your journey carefully and check the NS Journey Planner in advance.

More information about the work can be found on the websites of Arriva and Swietelsky.

Closure of Heyendaalseweg

During the railway works, Heyendaalseweg will be closed to motor traffic: only pedestrians, cyclists and buses will be able to pass. Motor traffic will be diverted via Groenenwoudseweg.

Measures for students and staff

For students

  • Measures have been taken by each faculty, which will be communicated via the faculty channels. The timetable remains the guiding principle for all students.
  • The Faculty of Arts will keep the week of 1 to 7 November as free of teaching as possible, but students must check their timetables.
  • You can park for free in the university car parks.
  • A new platform for carpooling makes it easy to share journeys.

Do you foresee any problems arising from this situation? If so, please contact your study advisor in good time.

For employees

  • You can park for free in the university car parks.
  • Travels with a colleague via a new platform for carpooling.
  • Discuss with your manager whether working from home is possible during this period.

Do you foresee problems in performing your work? Report this to your manager and see if a solution can be found together.

Driving together

Offer a ride yourself or travel with someone else

Are you travelling to campus by car? Then carpool! Offer a lift yourself or hitch a ride with someone else. It's much more fun, saves money and reduces CO₂ emissions.
