OneDrive blocked month after leaving the university

One month after you leave, your Radboud Microsoft account will be blocked and you will no longer be able to access your files in OneDrive. So check in time which files you transfer to others and what you want to keep (if any) yourself.

What does this mean?

  • Look carefully at which files are still relevant to fellow students or teachers. Move these files to a Team or workgroup folder they can access. You can also ask the other person to save a copy of your file.
  • If you have conducted research under the supervision of a supervisor, it is a good idea to check with that person how to secure your research data and results to prevent them from being accidentally deleted.
  • Take a critical look at what you want to keep and store it on your private device. Stick to the legal retention periods and do not keep data because it might be useful in the future. The retention periods are listed by category in the privacy statements.
