The Library of Science is hosting two presentations on open science topics. On 2 April, we will discuss how to retain your copyright when publishing, so you can share your article as open access yourself via the Radboud Repository. On 9 April, Kim Wever, researcher and teacher at radboudumc, will discuss about the benefits of pre-registering your research.
Retain copyright when publishing
When you publish, you typically transfer the copyright of your article to the publisher. Consequently, you are often prohibited to share your article as open access, e.g. in the Radboud Repository (“green open access”). You can prevent this with the so-called Rights Retention Strategy. During this presentation, we will explain how it works. Of course, there will also be time for your questions.
Thursday, 2 April, 12:30 PM. Register via our Library Calendar: www.libcal.ru.nl.
Pre-registration of research
Pre-registration means that at the start of your research, you document your research plan and store it in a public, non-editable repository. This reduces the risk of bias and ensures that research is evaluated based on quality and methodology, rather than solely on the outcome.
Thursday, 9 April, 10:30 a.m. Register via our Library Calendar: www.libcal.ru.nl.
