From 20th to 27th of August, the university and faculties open their doors to the new influx of first-year and Pre-Master's students. During this week, the intro students will get a crash course in studying and a little partying in Nijmegen. To offer the intro-students a perfect start to their student life, introduction committees, programme coordinators, and the faculty coordinator are already busy organising the introduction.
The study programmes have completed their programmes and present the intro-students with a nice mix of formal and informal activities. For instance, the newcomers will receive introduction lectures, IT instructions, participate in a sports day and are invited to various parties in the evening. The introduction will end in style with a big festival for the whole university.
Next month, the university will send out a first save-the-date to warm up prospective students for the introduction. Around the four-day week, they will receive an official invitation with an opportunity to register. In the meantime, the committees and coordinators are busy dotting the i's and crossing the t's.
