What do students and staff think about issues relating to Radboud University's international collaborations? What dilemmas are involved? In January, a total of 77 participants - 48 staff and 29 students - discussed these dilemmas during five meetings. All staff and students were invited to attend. Alternatively, they could share dilemmas using a web form.
The outcomes were recorded anonymously in a document - see link below this post - which was sent to the Executive Board and the Partnerships Advisory Committee. The committee will use the document to prepare its advice to the Executive Board. The Executive Board thanks all the participants for their contributions.
The Advisory Committee has been asked to assess the university's collaborations, with a special focus on international partner institutions in conflict zones. In what cases should the university refrain from collaboration because it is or could be fundamentally in conflict with the mission and core values of the university?
The discussions took place as part of a process set up to enable staff and students to contribute to the conversation being conducted throughout the institution on the subject.
You can find the outcomes of the participation process here (pdf).
