Possibly unable to access shared mailbox folders due to changed permissions

By default, you do not share your folders in Outlook, but sometimes it is necessary to share a mailbox folder with a colleague. It is important that these permissions are set carefully to prevent others from inadvertently accessing your emails and seeing data not intended for them.

Permissions are fixed

It emerged that the permissions of some mailbox folders had been set too broadly. Instead of authorising a person, the entire Radboud University was authorised because the authorisation was set to 'default' or 'standard'. From an information security perspective, these permissions were automatically restored. Due to the restoration, a person who could previously access a mailbox folder may no longer be able to view it. Follow the instruction Sharing mail folders in Outlook or contact the icthelpdesk [at] ru.nl (ICT Helpdesk).
