The Library of Science has scheduled a presentation on Tuesday 4 December at 10.30am on the basics of generative AI (GenAI) such as ChatGPT. How does it work, and can you use these kinds of tools to search for literature, work more efficiently, or strengthen your research? Both staff and students are welcome.
The use of generative AI in education and research is a topic full of possibilities, challenges, and caveats. In this session, we will introduce the basics of generative AI tools such as ChatGPT and discuss whether and, if so, how you can use them responsibly.
We will take a closer look at how these tools work, what their disadvantages are, and point you to resources for further exploration. Whether you are a student or a teacher, this session offers beginners practical tools for using generative AI or… the peace of mind to leave it alone.
