Last December, the Executive Board presented an action plan for social safety: Prevent – Care – Cure. These weeks, the Executive Board is talking about it with students and staff, among other things during 10 meetings organised at the various faculties. All students and staff received an invitation to these meetings.
Based partly on these conversations, the plan will be elaborated in more detail. It will be ready before the summer, after which further implementation will follow. In this way, we can carefully and consistently build a stronger foundation for a safe university.
Last week's media reports
Last week, there were once again several reports in the media about social safety within and outside our university. Radboud University aims to support a healthy work-life balance for all its staff and students at all stages of their life and career. In response, we published an item on Pregnancy and contracts at Radboud University on our website.
In dialogue with the Executive Board
If, partly in response to these reports, you as a staff member or student would like to talk to the Executive Board, you are cordially invited to one of the meetings scheduled this and next week.
7 March 2.00 p.m. – 3.00 p.m. (in English)
11 March 12.00 noon – 1.00 p.m.
12 March 12.30 noon – 1.30 p.m.
You can register via the earlier invitation sent to all staff and students, or via the Weekly News of 4 March (staff) or the student newsletter of 7 March.
In dialogue without the Executive Board
At the request of the Executive Board, Radboud Reflects is organising four more in-depth dialogue sessions for staff and students in response to Prevent – Care – Cure. The Executive Board will not attend these sessions. Staff and students will soon receive more information on how to register for these dialogue sessions.
Standard
We want Radboud University to be a place where everyone feels safe and at home. A university where you can study and work in an environment that helps you get the best out of yourself and others, whether you are a researcher, a lecturer, a PhD candidate, a supervisor, a member of the support staff, an administrator or a student. Our campus is an environment with no place for undesirable behaviour. This has to be the standard across the entire university.
