Opening hours Library of Science summer holidays
From Friday 11 July through Sunday 31 August, the Library of Science will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Evening and weekend openings are cancelled during this period. The library will be closed on Friday 18 July.
Exhibit in Library of Science: Flora’s Art
You can admire a new exhibition in the Library of Science: FLora's Art. It follows botanical representation from Medieval and Renaissance herbals, through 18th century coffee table books, to modern field guides and research tools.

The Universities of the Netherlands (UNL) negotiate 'Read & Publish deals' with academic publishers. Some of these agreements include a maximum number of articles that may be published open access per year — a so-called cap.

New exhibition: SOIL
Last Friday the Library of Science opened the exhibition “SOIL,” part of the duo-exhibition of environmental humanities, ‘soil & water’. This exhibit can be found in the display cases in wing 4 of the Library of Science.
Atlas.ti workshop
On 24 April, the Library of Science is hosting a basic Atlas.ti workshop for scientists and students (in Dutch). ATLAS.ti is a software tool for qualitative data analysis and is freely available to Radboud University students and staff.

All EMS journals open access in 2025
FNWI has a Subscribe to Open (S2O) agreement with the European Mathematical Society (EMS). This publisher's journals will become Open Access based on subscription fees paid by FNWI and other institutions.
Stealth corrections in scientific articles
Radboudumc researcher René Aquarius discovered that scientific articles are sometimes altered without this being disclosed. Together with international colleagues, he authored a paper on this subject that has just been published.
New Open Access agreement with RSC and AIPP

SYNLETT is now integrated as a destination journal for authors publishing preprints via ChemRxiv. Working with 'Select Crowd Review' significantly shortens the review process, allowing your paper to be published more quickly.
