On November 6 and 7, a site visit committee from the NVAO and EAPAA (the European Association for Public Administration Accreditation) visited the Public Administration program and spoke with students, teachers, the management team, the examination committee, alumni, and members of the advisory council. The Bachelor and Master programmes were assessed very positively.
During the final presentation, the committee praised "the ambitious, distinctive and comprehensive approach" that is typical of the Nijmegen programmes. The committee indicated that the programmes’ mission (tackling social problems in order to improve society) is clearly reflected in the curriculum, in a way that is recognizable to students and alumni. The committee also appreciated the way in which changes in the curriculum are co-designed and -implemented in consultation with students and teachers.
The committee made suggestions for further improvement, including a possible new design for the bachelor's thesis and further development of the interdisciplinary approach.
