Public list of decisions week 11

Below you will find the list of decisions taken by the Executive Board in the week of 10 March 2026 (week 11).

2022nd meeting, held on 10 March 2026 

  1. Reappointment of vice dean 
    The Executive Board decided to extend the appointment of Prof. L.C. de Bruin as Vice Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, Theology and Religious Studies until 1 April 2026, for a period of two years. 
     
  2. Appointment of a member of the Examination Appeals Board 
    The Executive Board decided to appoint Prof. D.J. Vriens as an Examination Appeals Board member for a period of five years, with effect from 1 April 2026. 

     

  3. Faculty Regulations of the Faculty of Philosophy, Theology and Religious Studies 
    The Executive Board approved the draft Faculty Regulations of the Faculty of Philosophy, Theology and Religious Studies on the understanding that changes might be necessary following the evaluation of the governance model. 
     
  4. Faculty Regulations of the Faculty of Science 
    The Executive Board approved the draft Faculty Regulations of the Faculty of Science on the understanding that changes might be necessary following the evaluation of the governance model. 
     
  5. Reappointment of a member of the Complaints Committee 
    The Executive Board decided: 
    1. To reappoint Mr Reinders as a substitute member of the Complaints Committee for Undesirable Behaviour for the period from 8 October to 31 December 2026, on the understanding that the Board could prematurely terminate the reappointment if the agreement with Gimd ended or if the relationship between the substitute member and Gimd came to an end; 
    2. To revoke the decision made on 2 March 2026 to reappoint Mr Geurts as a substitute member for the period from 8 October 2025 to 31 December 2026. 
     
  6. Extension of Faculty of Medical Sciences Teaching and Research Remit 
    The Executive Board decided that Prof. N. van de Kar’s ‘Complement-mediated Kidney Diseases, Specifically Haemolytic Uraemic Syndrome and C3 Glomerulopathy’ teaching and research remit, which was due to end on 1 March 2026, would be extended for a period of five years. 
  7. Extension of Faculty of Medical Sciences Teaching and Research Remit 

    The Executive Board decided that Prof. D.M. Burger’s ‘Clinical Pharmacy’ teaching and research remit, which was due to end on 1 April 2026, would be extended to the date of his retirement (which was currently scheduled for 20 January 2032).  
     

  8. Extension of Faculty of Medical Sciences Teaching and Research Remit 
    The Executive Board decided that Prof. G.S.E. Fernández-Reumann’s ‘Cognitive Neuroscience’ teaching and research remit, which was due to end on 1 April 2026, would be extended to the date of his retirement (which was currently scheduled for 12 November 2031). 
     
  9. Extension of Faculty of Medical Sciences Teaching and Research Remit 
    The Executive Board decided that Prof. I.J.M. de Vries’ ‘Immunology’ teaching and research remit, which was due to end on 1 May 2026, would be extended for a period of five years. 
     
  10. Extension of Faculty of Medical Sciences Teaching and Research Remit 
    The Executive Board decided that Prof. S.N. de Wildt’s ‘Clinical Pharmacology’ teaching and research remit, which was due to end on 1 May 2026, would be extended for a period of five years. 
     
  11. Extension of Faculty of Medical Sciences Teaching and Research Remit 
    The Executive Board decided that Prof. M.E.J.L. Hulscher’s ‘Quality of Care for Infectious Diseases’ teaching and research remit, which was due to end on 1 June 2026, would be extended to the date of his retirement (which was currently scheduled for 19 August 2031). 
     
  12. Extension of Faculty of Medical Sciences Teaching and Research Remit 
    The Executive Board decided that Prof. B. Roozendaal’s ‘Behavioural Neuroscience’ teaching and research remit, which was due to end on 1 June 2026, would be extended to the date of his retirement (which was currently scheduled for 10 January 2031).
