Below you will find the list of decisions taken by the Executive Board in the week of 19 May 2025 (Week 21).

  1. Decision on Partnerships Advisory Committee recommendation

  2. Faculty of Medical Sciences Teaching and Research Remit
    The Executive Board has decided to award Prof. S.C. Möhlhenrich the ‘Orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics’ teaching and research remit for a period of five years, effective from 1 September 2025.
     
  3. Appointments and reappointments of members of Disputes Committee and Employee Advisory Committee
    The Executive Board has retroactively decided, with effect from 15 March 2025:
    1. to (re)appoint the following persons as members of the Disputes Committee for four years, as referred to in Article 1 Paragraph 
         5 of the Employee Disputes Regulations:
         a. W.E. Grimmelinkhuijsen (chair);
         b. G.A. Faas (deputy chair);
         c. J. Lubking, member nominated by the trade unions in the Local Council;
         d. J.W.H. Elvers, deputy member nominated by the trade unions in the Local 
             Council;
         e. Dr J.W.M. Hulst, nominated by the Executive Board;
    2. 1. to (re)appoint the following persons as members of the Advisory Committee for four years, as referred to in Article 1 Paragraph 6 
         of the Employee Disputes Regulations:
         a. W.E. Grimmelinkhuijsen (chair);
         b. G.A. Faas (deputy chair);
         c. J. Lubking, member nominated by the trade unions in the Local Council;
         d. J.W.H. Elvers, deputy member nominated by the trade unions in the Local 
             Council;
         e. Dr J.W.M. Hulst, nominated by the Executive Board;
    3. to continue the policy whereby compensation for external parties of the Disputes Committee and 
        the Advisory Committee is charged to General University Activities;
    4. that this compensation consists of a fixed amount per dispute, plus the maximum 
        permitted tax-free kilometre allowance or compensation for travel expenses for public 
        transport (the latter to be demonstrated with travel documents/details);
    5. to index the compensation per dispute annually, in accordance with the consumer price index 
        of 1 January of the year in question;
    6. to set the compensation per dispute for 2025 at €893.94 for the (deputy) 
        chair, at €595.96 for the (deputy) members and the kilometre allowance at  
        €0.23.
     
  4. Reappointment of members of Complaints Committee for Undesirable Behaviour
    In accordance with Article 3 of the Complaints Regulations for Undesirable Behaviour, the Executive Board has retroactively decided to reappoint the following persons as members of the Complaints Committee for Undesirable Behaviour, with effect from 15 March 2025:
    1. G. van Wankum (chair), for a period of four years;
    2. K. Geurts, for a period of two years,
    on the condition that the Executive Board can terminate the appointments in the meantime, if the agreement with GIMD ends or if the relationship between the affected member and GIMD comes to an end.
     
  5. Appointment of confidential advisor
    The Executive Board has decided to appoint H. Kloosterhuis as external confidential advisor on undesirable behaviour, as of 1 June 2025.
     
  6. Extension of special teaching and research remit of the Faculty of Law
    The Executive Board has retroactively decided to extend the ‘Burgerschap en migratie’ (Citizenship and migration) special teaching and research remit awarded to Prof. M.H.A. Strik from 1 May 2025 until the date of her retirement, which is currently scheduled for 28 December 2028.
