New Radboud University students will be introduced to each other, their programs, the campus, and the city in week 34 of 2026. Radboud University has chosen this week to offer new students a clear and well-structured start to their studies. This schedule aligns well with the academic year and allows for a clear structure: a hectic introduction week full of impressions and new contacts, followed by a week for new students, programmes, and associations to prepare for the start of the academic year. The Introduction begins on Sunday, August 16th, with reception and registration at the sports center and concludes on Saturday, August 22nd, with the introduction festival at Park Brakkenstein.
Collaboration with HAN University of Applied Sciences
Last year, Radboud University and HAN University of Applied Sciences jointly organised the introduction week. This will not be the case in 2026. The collaboration has yielded valuable insights that have provided several further starting points. For next year, an individual introduction by both institutions is logistically a simpler option, both organisationally and in preparation for the new academic year. This decision applies only to the coming year. In the autumn of 2026, Radboud University and HAN University of Applied Sciences will evaluate future opportunities for collaboration during the introduction period, based on the experiences of 2025 and 2026.
