The cameras will be installed at the Berchmanianum, the Collegezalencomplex, the Erasmus Building, Erasmusplein, the Grotius Building, the Huygens Building, the Maria Montessori Building and Mercator 1.
The installation of the cameras complies with legislation and regulations, and therefore also with the General Data Protection Regulation.
The assessment focused, amongst other things, on the lawfulness, necessity and proportionality of the CCTV surveillance. It was also assessed against Article 5(1) of Radboud University’s Personal Data Protection Regulations.
The proposal has been approved by the Data Protection Officer and the Privacy Officer, and the participational bodies have consented to the installation of the cameras.
