The ITK assesses the extent to which the university's quality assurance system for education is functioning properly. This is done by an external panel based on our self-evaluation report and an extensive information dossier. From 19 to 21 May and on 12 and 13 June, an external panel of experts will visit our university and talk to students, teachers, board members, managers and others involved in quality assurance for education.
A positive assessment confirms confidence in our university. Programmes at institutions with a positive Institution Test Quality Assurance go through a limited assessment at accreditations. The last ITK was in 2017 and the positive decision derived from there is valid until the end of this calendar year.
Key questions of the ITK
The key question asked in the ITK is: does the institution guarantee the realisation of its vision of good education, and does the institution continuously work on development and improvement? This key question is answered based on four interrelated quality standards (from the NVAO framework) that form the basis for the institutional audit:
- Vision and policy
Is the institution's vision and policy with regard to the quality of education widely adopted? - Implementation
How does the institution realise this vision on quality? - Evaluation and monitoring
How does the institution ensure the sustained realization of its vision on quality? - Development
How does the institution work on improvement?
Consultation hour for staff and students
