Engineering works at Nijmegen station
From Thursday 14 May to Friday 29 May, work will be carried out on the new passenger tunnel and two new platforms at Nijmegen station. Buses will run instead of trains on various routes to, from and via Nijmegen station:
- Thu 14 to Sat 16 May, Thu 28 & Fri 29 May: routes towards Arnhem and Den Bosch
- Sun 17 to Wed 27 May: route towards Den Bosch
From three weeks before these works begin, check the NS website for planned works for details and always check your journey planner shortly before departure.
Works on the Maaslijn
On various dates in May, work will be carried out on the modernisation of the Maaslijn between Roermond and Nijmegen (Arriva).
Buses will run instead of trains on the following dates:
- Sat 2 May to Sun 10 May: Nijmegen – Boxmeer
- Thu 14 May & Fri 15 May: Nijmegen – Mook Molenhoek
- Fri 29 May: Nijmegen – Mook Molenhoek & Nijmegen – Venray

Measures for students and staff
During this period, teaching and assessment will continue as usual.
If you, as a student, anticipate problems due to this situation, please contact your lecturer or academic advisor in good time.
If you are a staff member and anticipate difficulties in carrying out your work, please inform a manager in good time and discuss together whether a solution can be found.

Save money on parking with a parking pass
Are you experiencing significant disruption from the roadworks and do you need to travel by car several times? If so, you might consider purchasing a temporary parking pass (for a minimum of one month). You can do this via self-service (https://face.ru.nl/). This is already more cost-effective if you travel by car twice a month instead of using public transport. The pass costs €15 per calendar month. You can specify the end date when you apply, which will automatically cancel the pass (otherwise a one-month notice period applies).
