This year, more than 300 education professionals registered for the Education Days. Various presentations and workshops were organised at the Experience Centre on 1 and 2 April, each focusing on a different theme. Among other things, participants discovered how to apply AI in educational practice and were introduced to Student as Partner (StaP), an approach in which students actively contribute to educational development. You could also experience for yourself what it is like to coach someone blind, or play along in a VR game about giftedness. This way we took the time to grow together!
Recap of The Education Days 2025
Last week, The Education Days took place. More than 30 workshops and lectures were given by and for teachers from Radboud University, Radboudumc, HAN University of Applied Sciences, ROC Nijmegen and Yuverta. The perfect opportunity to take a peek at each others education and reflect together on how young people are educated.
Dare to grow
This year's focus was on growth in education. It reflected on growing as an adaptive professional with workshops on how to deal with the changing world and major social issues. The second theme (growth in mutual understanding) was about diversity between teachers and students and the professional field, and the last theme (growth space for students) was about the influence of social media and students' balance between private and study.
In addition, the 2024 University Education Awards were also presented.

How do we help professionals to be resilient and adaptive?
Helma Oolbekkink zoomed in on how identity development is seen as an important component of professional training. On the one hand, to be able to steer your work and your own development from that professional identity and, on the other, to be able to stand firm when big questions and challenges come up and you have to be 'adaptive' as a professional. Helma explored what professional identity (development) is, how to make space for professional identity development in the training/workplace and what this requires from trainers.
How does well-being affect student learning?
In her keynote, an abridged version of her oration, Marjolein van de Pol focused on students' feelings of stress and psychological complaints and how a student's development and well-being is under pressure. This affects not only how they feel, but also their ability to develop in an enjoyable way. The impact of performance pressure and adapting the learning environment have a lot of impact on young people's well-being. During the keynote, she gave insights on how to sustainably improve student wellbeing.
