On Thursday 13 June 2024 the annual Research Day IMR Academy & Doctoral School took place at Nijmegen School of Management. The theme of this year's Research Day was 'Innovation in Governance and Sustainability'. All researchers, PhD candidates and support staff at NSM were invited.
The day started with the keynote ‘Tourism and Earthly Attachments’, by Prof. Edward H. Huijbens, chair of the Cultural Geography Group (GEO) at Wageningen University & Research. Followed by the keynote on ‘Sustainable Tourism’, by Daisy Scholte, head of Impact & Content at tour operator Better Places. Our dean Saskia Lavrijssen led a dialogue on NSM’s mission ‘Responsible Governance for Sustainable Societies’.
During the Research Day several workshops were held. After the workshops, PhD candidates presented their research in parallel session. In addition, the Best Paper Award was awarded to Emily Häntschel and Anne Lieke Ebbers.
