Renate Loll new Chair of the Gravitational Physics Division (GPD) of the European Physical Society (EPS).

Renate Loll has been elected as the new Chair of the Gravitational Physics Division (GPD) of the European Physical Society (EPS) [https://www.eps.org].

Loll is professor at Radboud's Institute for Mathematics, Astrophysics and Particle Physics (IMAPP), and known for her pioneering contributions to Quantum Gravity [https://www.hef.ru.nl/~rloll].

The GPD [https://www.eps.org/members/group.aspx?code=GPD] represents and provides a forum for European scientists working on all aspects of gravitational physics, and regularly organizes conferences and schools.

Loll: "Gravity research in Europe is very strong across the board; serving as Chair of the GPD is a tremendous opportunity to further strengthen the community's cohesion and visibility, and lobby on its behalf. I encourage everyone to join the EPS and support us!"  Loll succeeds Prof. Mairi Sakellariadou of King's College London, a member of IMAPP's external Scientific Advisory Board, who was recently elected President of the EPS.
