Reservation bookcases at the University Library and other library locations now organised by title

As of Wednesday, August 13, reserved books in the reservation bookcases at all library locations on campus are no longer organised by the borrower's last name, but by the title of the book.

This means you’ll now find your reserved book based on its title, including articles. For example, the book ‘The artist as economist: art and capitalism in the 1960s’ will be filed under the letter ‘T’. As a borrower, you can check the titles of your reserved books by logging into RUQuest and looking under the ‘Requests’ tab.

Why this change?

  • Improved privacy: Your name is no longer visible in the reservation bookcases, which better protects your personal information.
  • More sustainable process: No more printed receipts, contributing to a more environmentally friendly workflow.
