Rona Jualla van Oudenhoven appointed Director, equity, diversity and inclusion at Trent University

Radboud University wishes to congratulate our Chief Diversity Officer, dr. Rona Jualla van Oudenhoven on her appointment as the inaugural Director, equity, diversity and inclusion at Trent University, Ontario Canada. The past three years Rona successfully build the DEI strategy and Gender Equality Plan. Together with a large number of events and activities Rona steered the DEI agenda enabling us to further grow towards a diverse and inclusive campus.

President of the executive board Daniel Wigboldus: “Radboud University and her students owe a lot to Radboud’s first Diversity Officer Rona Jualla van Oudenhoven. We will build further upon the DEI-foundations that have been developed by Rona and her team during the past three years. We wish Rona all the best."

Rona has expressed deep sadness to leave her Radboud family with whom she has bonded strongly over the past three years.

“Our DEI programming at Radboud demonstrates the promotion of a sense of belonging, ownership and accountability for equity work across campus and the ripple effect that we have set in motion.” Rona Jualla van Oudenhoven

Radboud University remains committed to continuing her DEI-policy with the team of students and staff across the entire campus. Therefor, as from September first Carolin Ossenkop will take on the program directors role ad interim. Carolin is currently lecturer at our university and specialized in diversity and ethnic identity. She is looking forward contributing to our DEI policy and share her expertise. Carolin will join the team until a successor for Rona is found. The search for a program director DEI will start soon.

Please join us in wishing Rona all the best in her new endeavors. We know that she is moving closer to her home and family in Canada. Rona can also be reached at rjualla [at] (rjualla[at]gmail[dot]com).
