Royal distinction for Yvonne Benschop

Prof. Yvonne Benschop received a royal distinction from Mayor Hubert Bruls today, in recognition of her exceptional academic achievements. She was given the distinction Officer of the Order of Orange-Nassau.

Yvonne is an internationally recognised pioneer in the interdisciplinary field of gender and diversity within organisations. Building on her background in business administration and political science, she has developed a specifically political perspective on organisations to understand how power processes lead to intersectional inequality in daily organisational practices. Yvonne is particularly interested in informal organisational processes that lead to inequality, and in interventions that result in organisations becoming more diverse, equal and inclusive.

Recent research projects investigate gender and inclusion in leadership, the effect of post-feminism on organisational change and sustainable change towards intersectional equality in organisations. She is actively and enthusiastically dedicated to Diversity, Equality and Inclusion (DEI) at Radboud University, the Nijmegen School of Management, Business Administration and, on an international level, in the European Group of Organization Studies and the Academy of Management. The Faculty Board would like to congratulate her on this award.
