On Friday 28 November, Radboud University will sign the Adapted Education and Top-Level Sport Action Plan 3.0. This letter of intent will be signed by Joris Hermans, Head of Radboud Sport & Culture, on behalf of the Executive Board.
Action Plan for Adapted Education and Top-Level Sport 3.0
By signing the Action Plan, the university has expressed its intention to continue supporting students who participate in top-level sport alongside their studies in the coming years. “Higher education institutions have a responsibility not only to impart knowledge to young people, but also to offer them opportunities to develop in various areas,” the Action Plan states.
The Adapted Education and Top-level Sport partnership has been active since 2013, and Radboud University is one of thirty educational institutions that have joined it. All universities are affiliated with it, as are a number of higher professional education institutions, NOC*NSF, sports associations and the Team NL centres (such as Papendal, in Radboud University's catchment area). The Action Plan is supported by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport.
Adapted studying
Students who are limited in attending education due to top-level sports or other circumstances can apply for adapted studying at Radboud University. The university looks at what adapted studying provisions are necessary, appropriate and feasible for each student.
