Sofía Forchieri winner of the 2025 Catharine Stimpson Prize

RICH PhD candidate Sofía Forchieri's article Femi(ni)cide through a Decolonial Lens: Literary Interventions and the Relational Turn has won the 2025 Catharine Stimpson Prize for Outstanding Feminist Scholarship.

The article explores how literature can advance our understanding of femi(ni)cide in a relational and decolonial lens.

The Catharine Stimpson Prize

The Catharine Stimpson Prize, named in honor of the founding editor of Signs: Journal of Women in Culture and Society, is designed to recognize excellence and innovation in the work of emerging feminist scholars.

The Catharine Stimpson Prize is awarded biennially to the best paper in an international competition. Leading feminist scholars from around the world choose the winner. The winning article is published in Signs and the author receives a $1,000 honorarium.
