Sports boxes on campus

As of 1 August, there are four sports boxes on the Radboud campus. These boxes are filled with various sports and games equipment, including badminton sets, footballs and Frisbees. By registering via an app, you can open the sports boxes and immediately play, exercise or relax.

The installation of the sports boxes is an initiative of Ferry Soetekouw and Julie Hornix (Development Managers at Campus Development) and Joris Hermans (Head of Radboud Sport & Culture). Within the Campus Life program, Ferry and Julie work to enliven the Radboud campus and develop activities for everyone. Based on his vision on vitality and well-being, Joris believes it is important that students and employees have sufficient opportunities for exercise and relaxation on campus.

Locations

The sports boxes can be found on the lawn at both the front and the rear of the Maria Montessori building, at the rear of the Huygens building and on the Linnaeus square. Whether it remains with four boxes depends on the extent to which they are used.

Opening the sports boxes

To open the sports boxes, you need to install the Sportbox app on your phone (can also be done via the QR code on the side of the sports box). After you have registered in this app, you can open all sports boxes on the Radboud campus and get started right away.

Other sports and game locations

Did you know that in addition to the four sports boxes, there are more sports and games locations on campus? Next to all the facilities that you can use with a Radboud Sport & Culture subscription, there is:
