Asser 3-IV General Property Law is devoted to the general provisions of property law. Updates have been made, for example, in the context of the Dutch 'Omgevingswet' and the entry into force of the 'Wet opheffing verpandingsverboden'. The new edition also covers recent judgements of the Supreme Court of the Netherlands and literature that has appeared since the publication of the previous edition. Bartels edited the handbook together with prof. mr. A.I.M. van Mierlo and with the cooperation of mr. H.D. Ploeger.
Asser 5 is devoted to Book 5 of the Dutch Civil Code. The handbook covers the entire range of issues addressed in Book 5, as well as the right of usufruct ('vruchtgebruik'). In view of new literature, case law and changed insights, the authors have updated chapters 1 to 9. Chapter 10 on apartment rights has been completely revised by the authors. Bartels edited the handbook together with prof. mr. F.J. Vonck.
