Through these grants, the Radboud Centre for Sustainability Challenges (RCSC) aims to support sustainability initiatives on campus. Projects may include lectures, networking events, a podcast, workshops, or other activities that contribute to sustainability. The three selected proposals will each receive up to €10,000 to implement their idea. You are also welcome to submit a proposal requiring a smaller amount of funding.
Eligibility criteria
To be eligible for one of the grants, your proposal must meet the following requirements:
- Your idea is a sustainability initiative focused on education and impact or research and impact
- Your idea aligns with one of the four core thematic areas of the RCSC (Healthy Landscapes, Critical Perspectives on AI, Climate and Environmental Justice, Resource Security)
- Your project involves collaboration between different faculties
- Your project demonstrates the potential to engage actors and stakeholders outside the university
- Your project produces outcomes that the RCSC can build upon or use directly

Applicant information
Please include the names, affiliations, and email addresses of all applicants. For each applicant, also provide a link to their Radboud University or Radboudumc profile page, personal website, and/or a relevant social media profile.
Project description
Provide a concise description of your project (maximum 500 words).
Please include:
- the aim of the initiative;
- its societal and/or scientific relevance;
- the planned activities;
- the potential for long-term collaboration;
- the project timeline;
- a budget.
In addition, please describe how your proposal contributes to the goals of the RCSC (maximum 250 words). You may draw inspiration from the RCSC website, the four RCSC thematic areas, the RCSC Manifesto, and the Radboud Sustainability Programme.
Submit
Your proposal should explain how the project aligns with the objectives and mission of the RCSC, how the seed grant will be used, who the key contributors are and what their roles will be, and what outcomes are expected. Timeline
- 1 October 2026: Application deadline
- 1 November 2026: Applicants are notified of the outcome
