Support
Student support services will continue as usual during the summer closure. The STIP desk, study advisors, Career Service Law, student psychologists, and the student dean will temporarily move to the first floor of the Maria Montessori Building. They will be available there to provide assistance. Please check the contact pages of the relevant services for the most up-to-date information on location and availability.
Need books or journals?
Loanable materials can still be requested via RUQuest during the summer closure and picked up at the University Library.
Do you specifically need books or journals from the Law Library in the Grotius Building? Then you can pick them up during three short collection time slots:
- Tuesday, 15 July - 12:00 to 14:00
- Tuesday, 22 July - 12:00 to 14:00
- Tuesday, 5 August - 12:00 to 14:00
Library materials must be requested via RUQuest no later than 10:00 on the day of collection.
Please note: these time slots are strictly for searching and collecting reading materials. You can also use the copy machines. During these openings, a library staff member will be present, as well as a receptionist who takes care of the plants in the building. To save energy, few or no facilities and installations will be operational. The elevator will be in use, but the parking garage underneath the Grotius Building will remain closed for the entire summer closure.
The library staff of the Grotius Building can be reached during the closure via inforecht [at] ubn.ru.nl (inforecht[at]ubn[dot]ru[dot]nl) and Ask Your Librarian.
Workspaces for staff
Staff members who wish to work on campus during the summer are welcome in the Maria Montessori Building. An inventory is currently being made to determine how the workspaces can best be arranged. More information on the accessibility and facilities of these workspaces will follow soon.
Staff lockers will also be available, in addition to the regular student lockers (available 24/7). During the summer closure, these lockers will be available for longer than usual. If you expect to be working in the Maria Montessori Building during this period, you can use a locker to keep your materials within reach.
