As part of the Personal and Professional Development learning line, Communication Science students (BA and MA) were given the opportunity to participate in a workshop called "The Perfect Picture". Twenty students participated in this workshop, which consisted of homework assignments, taking pictures and attending three workshop meetings. The emphasis was on developing the ability to "look" and "see", and turning creative ideas into images, rather than on the technical aspects of the camera and post-editing photos. As a result, an exhibition of 13 images, mostly made with smartphones, has emerged, currently on display on the fourth floor of the Maria Montessori building (South/green Wing).
The students often tell a story with a single photograph or a triptych, and so this exhibition offers a glimpse into their world of thoughts. On Wednesday 7th June, the exhibition opened to a select group of students. Gabi Schaap and Paul Ketelaar, both working as Assitent Professor at Communication Science, organised the workshop and exhibition with a great passion for images and photography.
