The fifth edition of the Asser 2-IIb Corporate Governance, edited by Tom Salemink and Marco Nieuwe Weme, has been published at the end of April. The previous edition of Asser 2-IIb was published in 2019. Since then, the relevant regulations, both at national and European law level, have changed significantly and, moreover, a lot of case law and literature has appeared.
New European rules on sustainability, as well as case law on, for example, good governance and conflicts of interest, have a major impact on the corporate governance of the Dutch public limited company (‘naamloze vennootschap’, NV) and the Dutch private limited company (‘besloten vennootschap’, BV). Taking these developments into account, the updated Asser volume casts a comprehensive and fully updated look at the corporate governance of NVs and BVs.
On 11 June 2025, a book launch took place in Nijmegen for the staff of the Radboud Business Institute and other invited guests.
