PAIS stands for Post-Acute Infectious Syndrome, the umbrella term for diseases such as long COVID, Q fever and ME. During a protest at Malieveld, Vivienne Matthies-Boon addressed the activists with this speech (in Dutch). Volkskrant spoke with Matthies-Boon and wrote on the demonstration. The speech does not stand alone but ties in with the research Matthies-Boon is conducting as part of a ZonMw project on the moral dimensions of Long Covid.
