Accessibility and diversions
- Berchmanianum car park: Accessible only via Sint Annastraat – Houtlaan. The route from Heyendaalseweg is closed.
- Campus from the south: Take a detour via Sint Annastraat and then via Erasmuslaan or Kapittelweg.
- Cyclists and pedestrians: The closure applies to all traffic; please follow the yellow diversion signs on site.
Background to the design
The council has acquired a plot of land from Radboud University for the construction work. The design aims to minimise disruption to the surrounding area: the electricity substation will remain in place and the crucifix will be moved slightly. Unfortunately, four trees will have to be removed, but these will be replaced by ten new trees.
