These works are part of a broader approach to keep the building future-proof until the larger renovation takes place. By investing in renewal and maintenance in a targeted way now, we prevent malfunctions and ensure continuity in the use of the building.
During the works, the emphasis is on smart improvements. Wherever possible, we combine the works with energy-saving measures and more efficient installations. In doing so, we contribute to a more sustainable and future-proof building and lower energy consumption, in line with the university's ambitions.
The works will be carried out in phases over the 2026–2028 period. A large part of them will take place in the background. Where the works are noticeable, we will ensure careful planning and coordination so that teaching and research are disrupted as little as possible.
For users, the impact will remain limited in most cases. The building will remain in use throughout the works, which means that some inconvenience may occur. We will do our utmost to minimise this. The users concerned will be informed in good time and in a targeted manner.
