The Guild is committed to the pursuit of excellence, the importance of truth-seeking and trust-building as the foundation of public life, and the creation of new knowledge for the benefit of society, culture, and economic growth.
Twenty-two universities from sixteen different European countries form the university network The Guild. This network lobbies in Brussels for scientific research and education and to help discuss European research policy.
Radboud University has been one of The Guild's participants from the beginning in 2016.

Collaboration with ARUA through the Guild
The African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA) and The Guild have launched 20 joint Clusters of Research Excellence (CoRE) in summer 2023 to address societal and scientific challenges based on both African and European Innovation Agendas.
