University of Glasgow & Radboud University

Radboud University and the University of Glasgow are “priority partners". Glasgow is a renowned university, belonging to the world top, with whom we collaborate university-wide. We do this in education, for example with joint master's programs, and in many research areas. There is also the Radboud-Glasgow Collaboration Fund for cooperation and knowledge exchange.

Radboud-Glasgow Collaboration Fund

The University of Glasgow and Radboud University have a joint fund: the Radboud-Glasgow Collaboration Fund. In it, the two institutions jointly invest in opportunities to build on our many existing research and teaching connections. The universities also collaborate on student and staff exchanges. 

Within this fund, funding is available for three types of projects: research, teaching and short-term staff mobility. For more information and applications, see International Collaboration Funds: Radboud-Glasgow Collaboration Fund.

Successes

Since the Fund's inception through early 2025, 41 joint projects have been awarded funding. This 'seed funding' has led to, among other things:

  • an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master grant award that enabled the launch of the joint international master's program International Law of Global Security and Peace Development;
  • a master's program 'Slavery, Forced Migration & Reparative Justice (IntM)' to be followed at the University of Glasgow, with a summer school course at Radboud University;
  • six dual degrees;
  • and numerous joint seminars, publications and external fellowships.

Radboud University and the University of Glasgow have a selection of interdisciplinary two-year dual degrees that they offer together. Both universities are also part of consortia offering multiple degree programmes together. Worldwide master's-level students can apply.
