That is why, since 1999, the university has been a member of the Platform VO-HO Arnhem-Nijmegen, a partnership between higher education institutions and secondary schools in the surrounding area. The goal of the Platform VO-HO is to promote a successful study career for havo and vwo pupils in their further education. The collaboration between the participating institutions focuses on informing about each other's activities and strengthening them.
University policy on this topic is reflected in the following activities:
- The Pre-University College (website in Dutch) provides in-depth content for pupils and teachers in secondary education.
- The Radboud Teachers Academy trains lecturers and provides continuing education for secondary school teachers.
- The Marketing & Communications division provides study information for pupils, parents, and school deans.
- The Science Education Hub promotes inquiry-based learning in primary education.
Radboud University is also part of the Platform VO-HO Arnhem Nijmegen, and the lead partner of the Regional ambition plan connection VWO-WO 2022-2025, aimed at enhancing the collaboration between primary and secondary education in the region.
