Radboud University handles your personal data with care. You must be able to trust that your data are processed lawfully and protected appropriately. That is why Radboud University wants to be transparent about what we do with your personal data, by means of this special Privacy Statement for members of personnel association PV Radboud.
In addition, Radboud University has a General Privacy Statement. In this statement, we generally inform you about the way in which the university processes your data and what rights you have.
Which personal data does PV Radboud process?
PV Radboud can process personal data of you, because you use the services of PV Radboud and/or because you provide this to PV Radboud when filling out a contact form on the website. PV Radboud can process the following personal data:
- first and last name and initials
- address data
- phone number
- e-mail address
- sex
- date of birth
- bank account number (when issuing an authorization)
Why do we need this information?
PV Radboud processes personal data in order to contact you in writing (by e-mail and/or by post) or if this is not possible, to contact you by telephone. In addition, PV Radboud may use your personal data in the context of an agreement, such as, for example, starting your PV Radboud membership or participating in an activity or event organized by us.
How long do we keep hold of your data?
PV Radboud does not store your personal data longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the goals for which the data is collected. Your data will not be kept for more than a year, unless the agreement/membership is still active.
After termination of an agreement, the relevant data will be stored in accordance with the legal retention periods.
With whom do we share this information?
PV Radboud will only provide your personal data to third parties if this is necessary for the execution of an agreement with you, or to comply with a legal obligation. By third parties can be understood:
- Teachers;
- Organizers of activities and events;
- Directors of PV associations in which you are active.
Inspecting, modifying or deleting data
You are entitled to inspect, correct or delete your personal data. In addition, you are entitled to revoke consent for your data to be processed or to object to our business processing it and you are entitled to have it transferred. This means that you may submit a request to info [at] pvradboud.nl (info[at]pvradboud[dot]nl) to have any personal data pertaining to you which we have in our possession sent to you or to another organisation that you mention in the form of a computer file.
If you wish to exercise your right to object and/or to have your data transferred, or if you have any other questions or comments concerning data processing, please send a detailed request to info [at] pvradboud.nl (info[at]pvradboud[dot]nl). In order to ensure that you have submitted a request for inspection, we ask you to submit a copy of proof of your identity along with that request. Please black out your passport photo, the MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of your passport), passport number and citizen service number (CSN) in order to protect your privacy.
PV Radboud will respond to your request as soon as possible but at any rate within four weeks. We would nevertheless like to draw your attention to the fact that we require personal data for the purposes of providing services and, as such, would find it necessary to terminate your membership. PV Radboud would also like to point out that it is possible for you to submit a complaint to the national regulatory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

PV Radboud takes the protection of your data seriously and will adopt appropriate measures to prevent it from being misused, lost or being subject to unauthorised access, undesirable disclosure or unlawful modification.
