On October 17th, 2023, Radboud University will turn 100 years old. Throughout the year, we celebrate that Radboud University has had a significant impact on our students, researchers and employees for 100 years, and also to the world around us. Will you celebrate this special milestone with us?

October 2023

On October 17th 2023, we celebrated the university's official birthday: the 100th Dies Natalis. Also, between 19 - 21 October Radboud Art and Science took place.

May 2023

In May, we celebrated Radboud University's 100th anniversary during the jam-packed week of celebrations with events such as Radboud Kids, Radboud Festival, Radboud Sounds and the 100 Radboud Gestures. Check out the recap for all info, photos and videos.

Next to that, the Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Philosophy, Theology and Religious Studies and Faculty of Law also celebrate their 100th anniversary, and the Nijmegen School of Management turns 35 years.

New mural about the history of Radboud University

Nijmegen has a new mural! On the corner of Snijderstraat and Spinthuisstraat, there is a new Waalpainting depicting the history of Radboud University. The mural was painted by artists Sacha di Maio and Eduardo Pérez.

Radboud University is celebrating its 100th anniversary. Together with partners and relations, the university wants to give a gift to the city of Nijmegen and its inhabitants in which reflection, curiosity and connection are central.

Seven new honorary doctorates at Radboud University

In honour of its centenary, Radboud University will award seven honorary doctorates in 2023. The recipients are Michael Sandel, Mary Beckman, Geert Corstens, Fabiola Gianotti, Stella Nkomo, Marc Van Ranst and Sandra Graham.
