Radboud Teaching and Learning Centre

Club / group / network

The Teaching and Learning Centre (TLC) is a network of teachers and education professionals working together on educational innovation, educational research and teacher development and well-being. Learning with and from each other is central to this. Together, we form an educational community that focuses on continuous development and offers students a rich learning environment. We stimulate new initiatives and we bundle, support and share existing ones; online and during on campus meetings.

Our goal: a continuous learning community in Academia

The TLC strives for a university community in which we continue to learn and reflect on our education. A learning-working climate where improvement and innovation in teaching are embraced and we are curious about how we can use our teaching to educate and support students in learning even better.

The Lecturers' lounge - our creative meeting place

The Lecturers' lounge at Thomas van Aquinostraat 1 is the meeting place for education lovers on campus. We organise several activities for and by teachers there every month. The lounge can be booked via TLC [at] ru.nl (TLC[at]ru[dot]nl). For example, you can organise a team training or an educational design session with colleagues there.

This is how you can participate

Meeting and exchanging experiences are at the heart of our network:

  • Work together with our teacher ambassadors in your faculty.
  • Exchange low-threshold ideas and tips with teaching colleagues in our Microsoft Teams Community.
  • Get started with educational research or educational (re)design and apply for a TLC voucher.
  • Join one of the Special Interest Groups and immerse yourself in current education topics.
  • Meet colleagues and learn during our multi-day training event 'The Education Days'.
  • Invite us for advice, reflection or inspiration. We are happy to think with you. Email us at TLC [at] ru.nl (TLC[at]ru[dot]nl)
