The Teaching and Learning Centre (TLC) enhances the quality of education at Radboud University by combining educational design with innovation and research, and by encouraging and facilitating lecturers in their continuous development. The centre does this together with lecturers, educational support staff and students. We focus on collaboration: learning together and from each other. At the TLC, lecturers are challenged, inspired, and supported in training students to become conscientious academics.
Centre and network
The TLC is a centre and a networking organisation. The centre has its headquarters at Thomas van Aquinostraat 1 with a lecturers' lounge as a meeting place. The lounge is free to use for everyone and can be booked via TLC [at] ru.nl (TLC[at]ru[dot]nl). You could organise a team training or an educational design session with colleagues, for example.
The networking organisation is expressed via lecturer ambassadors at the faculties, and in activities and projects with and for lecturers. The TLC creates a discussion platform where the exchange of knowledge, ideas and experiences is key. Lecturers are always welcome to talk to a TLC employee about their ideas for our education.
Activities of TLC
In Special Interest Groups, lecturers and students explore educational topics together and share knowledge and experiences among themselves. With TLC vouchers, lecturers and students can start research in education and/or education (re)design. Each year, together with HAN University of Applied Sciences and ROC Nijmegen, TLC organises the multi-day training event 'De Onderwijsdagen', for and by teachers.
