Student Affairs

The Student Affairs (SA) department provides broad support to students and student organisations. Student Affairs provides policy support to the Executive Board in the broad field of student policy and contributes to the academic and social development, study success, personal development and well-being of students. In addition, the department provides facilities, amenities and events for students and contributes to an inclusive campus where students from diverse backgrounds feel safe and welcome.

The Student Affairs department consists of the Student Development, Student Support and Student Life and International Mobility (SLIM) teams.

Student Support

Student Support consists of five disciplines and offers services to support well-being, personal and professional development, and academic success of students. The team also supports students with special circumstances and personal problems by providing information, advice, and guidance on topics such as legislation and regulations, educational and examination facilities, and career steps.

Student Development

The Student Development team is responsible for formulating and implementing (strategic) student policy on topics such as student well-being, DEI, art & culture and career orientation. As a policy-advising and coordinating team, Student Development promotes an inclusive environment in which students from diverse backgrounds can feel at home, study successfully and develop personally and professionally.

Student Life and International Mobility

Team SLIM coordinates international student and staff mobility, accommodation for international students, grants and support for student organisations. The department organises events such as Radboud Intro and Go Abroad Week. The Radboud Summer School, Social Work, Radboud Western Collaboration Fund and the VSB Fund also part of SLIM.
