In the Clinical Decision Making group, we investigate the factors that influence the decision-making process of clinicians. We view clinical decision-making as a complex process, characterized by making choices under conditions of uncertainty, similar to other decision processes studied in psychological decision theory.
Clinical Decision Making (CDM)
Research
Our research examines how biases, stress, and fatigue affect clinical decision-making processes. We also investigate the efficacy of decision support tools and explore the impact of expectations on decisions and clinical outcomes. Additionally, we study shared decision-making to strengthen the decision-making process of clinicians.
