Research

The group’s research addresses various topics related to social inequalities in education, such as disparities based on students' socioeconomic, gender or migration backgrounds, and the role of the educational system, differentiation, segregation, and parental involvement in these inequalities. The concept of ‘equal opportunities’ is central to much of the group’s research, and projects are often conducted in close collaboration with researchers from other universities, research institutes or educational professionals. The group is firmly committed to producing impactful research and working with practitioners to tackle the challenge of creating equal opportunities in education.
