Staff members in Art History teach and conduct research in the field of art and architectural history, both in western and non-western contexts. Although a small group, they have a wide expertise with special foci in Italian art of the late Middle Ages and Early Modernity; art of the Low Countries between the 17th and early 20th centuries; and global contemporary art.

Research
The research of Art History staff members is housed at the research institute RICH (Radboud Institute for Culture & History). Most of the results of this research can be found in the Radboud Repository of the Nijmegen University Library. The journal Desipientia also periodically publishes an overview of all publications.
